Our Process

1. BRIEF

It starts with the brief. This is not about getting the job description from you (obviously we will take that too). If we are working with you for the first time then to begin we really need to spend time understanding your business and most importantly your culture. We prefer to do this face to face in your offices.

3. HIRE

We are then on to the hire. We’ll talk you through our shortlist, you’ll select who you want to interview and when and we’ll do the rest.

 

When you’ve found your person, we take care of all the feedback and work with you to ensure we make a successful offer. We don’t stop there, we are in continual contact with you and your new team member right to the day they begin.

We find that by working with you exclusively on your role, you get the best results. It provides a focused, dedicated search for the right fit for your agency, there's no scatter gun approach here.

Then comes the search. We can’t share our methods here, that’s our secret sauce. But rest assured, we are well connected and it's extensive.

 

We know the candidate market, where and how to find those hard to find, hidden gems. The candidate screening is the most important part. We really get under the skin of their outlook, attitude and motivators. We have to be sure anyone we shortlist to our clients not just fits the requirements of the role but your culture. We are not just going to send CVs and hope something sticks.

Executive and Senior Hire Specialist

Becki has worked in the recruitment industry since 2007. Starting her career in recruiting healthcare professionals, she ran a successful desk but craved working in a more creative and exciting sector and moved into marketing in 2012, finding a real niche in the agency market which is a great fit for her personality! She launched The Place To Be in 2021 and now specialises in senior agency appointments and challenging client requirements using her experience and vast network to ensure client success!

 

Loves – Bella her Italian Greyhound. Her 2 cats, Dizzy and Rascal. Eating out, dog walks, holidaying with her husband and generally socialising!

Integrated Client Services Specialist

Romy spent over a decade working in the fashion industry and built a proven track record in account management and relationship building, driving sales growth with an extensive network of fashion brands in London. Following a stint over in Sweden, Romy returned to Yorkshire and joined The Place To Be where she is using her skills to build a strong network of likeminded client services specialists and working with some of Yorkshire's best agencies!

 

Behind the scenes – CEO of a busy household, known as Mum to 2 little people, wife to a Welsh Geordie and about to embark on a house renovation.

Digital and Creative Specialist

Ange started her career in a Wakefield Marketing agency as Production/Print buying specialist and made the switch to Account Manager so has in depth knowledge of agency life. She moved into recruitment in 2011 and never looked back, recruiting into agencies specialising in creative and digital roles. Ange had a short stint recruiting to in-house marketing roles however missed working in the agency market and reignited her passion for it when she joined The Place To Be this year.

PR, Social and Content Specialist

After graduating with a degree in Business Marketing, Abby spent 5 years working in recruitment, cutting her teeth in the Construction sector, including Executive Search across a Northern remit. Following that, Abby has more recently been working for Amazon alongside Selling Partners by recruiting them to join an internal Partnership Programme. Here she helps them grow their business even further on the world's largest e-commerce platform, focusing heavily on their marketing strategy. Abby came to The Place to Be to couple her strong interest in marketing and consumer behaviour with her career in recruitment. 

 

Likes - reality TV, cooking and eating out, drinking wine, enjoying being newly engaged and taking photos of their North Macedonian rescue dog, Missy.
