PR Account Director - Digital Agency

Leeds - Hybrid

£39,000 - £45,000

I am proud to be representing a B Corp certified agency in Leeds to help them appoint an Account Director with a strong background in PR, both traditional and Digital.

The right candidate will be working alongside their dedicated Client Services team when needed, on larger projects but their main focus will be to oversee the work of the PR team and report directly into the Head of PR.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading PR campaigns, managing client relationships, and driving business growth. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple client accounts, providing strategic counsel, and leading a team of talented PR professionals. Ideally, somebody who has worked in Digital PR with a demonstrable background in people management.

You will be the last pair of eyes to look over a large proportion of any content that goes out on behalf of the agency so we are looking for a very confident individual. It would be great to learn more about earlier career responsibilities in more junior roles and learn of specific examples of when the work you done received National coverage. This will allow us to identify your expert analysis of trends and what is hot in the world of PR.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, maintaining strong relationships and understanding their business objectives, industries, and PR needs.

• Develop and implement strategic PR plans and campaigns that align with client goals and deliver measurable results.

• Lead a team of PR account managers and executives both in the UK and internationally, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

• Drive new business initiatives by identifying opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts and actively participating in pitches and proposals.

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and media landscapes to identify opportunities for clients and stay ahead of the curve in PR strategies.

• Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure successful project execution and campaign delivery.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments within the agency to integrate PR efforts with broader marketing strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a PR agency setting, with a focus on account management and client relations.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.

• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing PR strategies that drive brand awareness and achieve client objectives.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Existing network and relationships within the PR and media industry are highly advantageous
